Park Life [396]

2008.03.29
A fine morning.

Like a bullet.

Not Bella but a similar size.

Spring.

A rare sighting [for me] of a Greenfinch.

They glow. How could I resist.

I had this identified as Adonis Brevistyla but as usual I got it wrong and it's real name is Anemona nemorosa.

I love it when a Bee turns up.

Can she be bothered.

Now she wants it.

*[see below]

In the afternoon Bella insists on going out in the rain.

Park Rangers.

Small wood at the North end of the park.

North-East gateway.

Bit in between, looking South.

Bit in between, looking North[ish].

45 minutes later. I had to empty water out of the eyepiece of the camera and stop laughing before taking this last shot.

* #18 & #20 influenced by Madoc's 'foot splash' and 'Faune Urbaine #8'.

CJLata again, i am speechless. your shots of the dogs in motion are excellent. i have green and yellow finches that come to my feeders, about eight or more. did you catch my shots of two dogs today? they moved much slower than yours... ;o)

Madoc Knowing that I may have inspired you in any way truly makes my day, Peter. And thank you for the links.

#15 went into my favs (it could also have been #17 or #28) since it is one of the greatest portraits of the beautiful Bella.

I understand why the Adonis brevistyla is one of your favourite flowers to shoot: its white petals are beautifully textured and present great contrasts.

#27 is brilliantly framed.

Oh...If I ever take crow shots half as stunning as yours, I'll be a happy man!
