Park Life [422]*

2008.04.24

Jay. One of a pair. [For me, a rare sighting. I managed 3 photos before they disappeared]

I've worked out why I'm now seeing Wrens everywhere. It's mating season and the males have to be higher to be heard, [they have a nice song.]. At times the birdsong in the park can be awesome as you walk around. Today a bird flew passed me singing. Outstanding!

She's convinced there's a squirrel up that tree [it's long gone]. She's checking to see if I'm still in the vicinity. She'll stay there as long as she can see me.

These flowers are from a tree in spectacular blossom by the main entrance, a tree I've been having unexpected problems photographing though it should be easy. I need to look at it differently.

On alert.

View across The Big Field, over the Aire Valley, towards Rivock Edge. Snapshot taken on the way home while waiting for Bella to catch up. You can usually see road traffic between the avenue tree trunks, for this snapshot it conveniently took a break. My favourite shot of the day.. Sigma 70-300 as usual.

Apologies for the slow updates but I haven't had time to process the photos, but as today is my birthday I've taken time off work to indulge and catch up.
