Having an iPhone, I love having a camera in my back pocket all the time, even when [on rare occasions] I leave the house without my DSLR. But, the tiny little lens and camera on the iPhone as you say really is only good enough for location scouting and small minor things. I definitely would not rely on it for anything more serious. However, another interesting thing I have come to realize is that the expectation level of the output quality based on the technology we have any given time. For example, back in 2005, I bought my Nikon D70s, knowing even then it was kind of a middle of the road model; but then and even now the results are great. Having said that, since then, the 'mega-pixels' have tripled and people expect to carry in their pocket in the form of a 'point-and-shoot' and 12-15 MP camera. It's all a bit confusing to me and seems more and more like a scheme for Nikon and Canon to sell more product... Can't we all just shoot film again?! =)

Sounds like a great tool - I'm hankering after one but waiting for my network to start selling them later this autumn. Like the reflection in this shot. As I read somewhere recently, the best camera is the one you have with you! :-)
