Odds and Ends

2007.01.19

This is a potpourri of images, but hopefully the words will hold them together.

The ear is only part of a head sculpted by Joseph Wheelwright and found in DeCordova Sculpture park. It represents how this community listens to one another. The keys are a metaphor for the way each photographer unlocks images. The next two pictures depict organic growth—or how we all grow by looking at the photos of others. The wall is the reminder of how beauty is found everywhere. And the two trees—well, they are the crossing of borders.

jpfromoz A great outlook on this "community" and, as usual, another great set of photos. I look forward to more pics & poetry.

openbelarus u know, the ears are always strange and interesting for me, once in gwalior, india, i saw mahavira's statues. they were absolutely magic, but i could not understand it. then i noted what so attracted me. his big ears! he was like an alien.
the last one is great
