A Day's Peregrinations

We started the day in a small town—looking at bikes and a stairway— and ended up in a section of Boston. A sliver of a neighborhood where you can buy ethnic foods, find bookstores catering to people who read—English or a dozen other languages. Yet, go around the corner and this neighborhood blends into a much larger part of the city.

Sometimes the reflections of city life in a storefront caught my attention or a board with hundreds of tacked on notices or the mural painted on the brick wall or the man in the bagel store—all simply a reflection of the city.

It's like music. Some days jazz fits, other days blues, some days folk, other days rock, some days hip hop, other days opera , a concerto, Gregorian chants,some smooth notes , some staccato—but it's all one chorus—
