Repetitions

2007.02.24

There's something about the rhythm of water, the push and pull of the waves, the blunt edges of rocks rubbed away, rock formations, marine life washed ashore, fishing vessels carrying a crew into the dance of the waves, and the catch—that is replenishing.

????? Incredible set of pictures. I really like the lines in #1, the stack of rocks and boat's reflection. Nicely done.

vollenda What a great set. I really like the first shot with the ripples of sand and the footprints.
vollenda · 2007-02-23: 23:58
Venkat ... its like good songs and nice music... how much ever they repeat you like them...then it's not any more repetition.. its like feasting to your heart's content!

rcharris Another beautiful set of photos, all magnificently composed. The light, textures, colours, balance are all first class. Are you really sure you need a new camera?!!!
rcharris · 2007-02-24: 03:34
Yoshi #1 is my favorite
Yoshi · 2007-02-24: 04:04
jjimson Nice pattern on the first one. Great reflection and composition on the 6th and damn good lighting and saturated colours on the 7th. On the 4th I wish you had a narrower DOF. Great set!
jjimson · 2007-02-24: 07:07
PollyWog You know, I hate repetitions! You know, I hate reptitions! These are fabulous pieces of crafsmanship! These are fabulous pieces of crafsmanship! Most from NE area! Most from NE area! Exceptional! Exceptional!
PollyWog · 2007-02-24: 07:09
photopoet jiimson, thanks for the comments. I went back to photo four and you're absolutely right. The foreground gets swallowed up by the busy background.

Helen Amazing set!Love the first one!!So poetic!!!

openbelarus owwawa! all photos are cool, but #1 is the best
openbelarus · 2007-02-24: 08:25
chipotle i so often find myself preferring an odd piece out. (i'm not quite certain what that says about my aesthetic sensibilities.) this time, though, i join the ranks for number one. they all evoke a briny breeze, though.

the crab catches me, too. it evokes mixed feelings. a little bit of melancholy. a little bit of acceptance.
chipotle · 2007-02-24: 08:27
carmitage #1 invites for a long revigorating walk. I can feel the breeze and hear the birds. Nice set but the fisherman attracted my eyes with this outburst of vibrant colours.
carmitage · 2007-02-24: 09:41
DrRoy in #4 you made that statue?
DrRoy · 2007-02-24: 10:54
metamorphosis amazing :)
very good :D
metamorphosis · 2007-02-24: 11:02
photopoet DrRoy— I didn't make the statue, but someone did. People tend to add rocks when they go by.

captingeye wow 1st is one of my fav!!
great set here i love the colours
captingeye · 2007-02-24: 13:06
aggiechristine Wonderful set - the lines and footprints and light in the first shot are fantastic and the composition and colors explode on the last shot. I agree with jjimson that a different dof on the fourth could make the stone tower pop.
aggiechristine · 2007-02-24: 20:20
kidelywinks the first one is brilliant :)
