We hiked and then went to the rocks to cool down. Even in Maine the temperature hovered at 91 degrees. Before we found our perfect perch , I spotted him —hunched over and painting a picture of the rocks and water. He looked up, "I've always wanted to do this scene. Usually I'm painting flowers."

After he finished his painting he started running over the rocks to someone he had spotted—also painting. I managed to call out and ask to see his canvas.
"It's beautiful," I said. "Are you pleased?"
"I'm delighted, ecstatic."

When he finished showing the other artist his work and looking at the other man's painting he came back and started to pack up his gear. "You should also go down and see his work," he said.

A great grocery store selling organic products and veggies had recently opened. We were seated at a small table eating a yogurt when I looked up and saw this woman walk in with this amazing hat.

I don't know if the flowers are real or not, but she seemed pleased with the attention afforded her straw hat.

I used my friend's camera to take this out of our car window. We were going about 70mph and the motorcycle passed us. I loved the backpacks and all the gear.

We passed quite close to this lobster boat soon after he had pulled up one of his traps. The raised hands indicated that he had caught several lobsters and they were of an acceptable size.
