I found one remaining box of comics which I had saved. When I opened it up and that smell came pouring out, that old paper smell, I was struck by a rush of memories, a sense of my childhood self that seemed to be contained in there.--

He was also "more powerful than a locomotive". The original Superman, George Reeves, was my favourite!

#1 is very cool. Funny to see Harry Potter in the background. Old heroes & new ones, side by side. :) Great contrast between the yellow and the reds in last one too.

When I was young, I remember going to the store with my dad and coming back with comic books for all of us. And then we'd all sit around and read them together. I don't think he ever kept any of his though. Once in a while, I still pick up an Archie when I'm at the store. :)
