A Grand Seer

2008.01.22

In poetry, trees, beasts and humans talk.
—Ferlinghetti—(If you look carefully a face will appear)

I spotted this old and imposing tree standing sentry in front of Heard Pond.

— watching the changes: seasons, the pond under a layer of ice, thawing in spring, the pickerlweed appearing at its appointed time—

It's a veritable totem pole. I found at least two faces, which makes it practically human. LOL.. ?:o)
