I arise in the morning torn between a desire to save the world and a desire to savor the world. That makes it hard to plan the day.

“Things alter for the worse spontaneously, if they be not altered for the better designedly.”
—Francis Bacon, Sr. |
The creation of a world view is the work of a generation rather than of an individual, but we each of us, for better or for worse, add our brick to the edifice.
—John Dos Passos |

How do you find so many poetry passages that seem to be so perfect for each photo? Just a wonderful post!

I don't know how you manage to take such ordinary things and turn them into such art...but you continue to do so. And maybe we can all do a little saving and savoring.

You are indeed a kindred spirit. I'm having flashbacks to Anne of Green Gables - this is beautiful. I love the use of Twain, with the bricks and angles you've captured in the old mill. I love the composition in #4 & #5. Your posts brighten my day.

The E.B. White quote made me chuckle. Maybe Pink Floyd had Dos Passos in mind when they wrote The Wall "Daddy, what'd'ja leave behind for me?!?/ All in all it was just a brick in the wall." Thoughtful, interesting post. ?:o)

I am a quote person too so I loved how your quotes went very well with each pic. Nice set. I think that maybe E.B. White and I were separated at birth.

I admire your work. The time you must put in to putting the right poetry with each shot must take you such a long time. I enjoy visiting your page as I feel your shots come from your heart and have more meaning with the poetry.
