Well William Zinsser sure got that right! Your first image is a knock-out — making something interesting, beautiful even out of debris and junk. Such a strong composition! (and beautiful texture in the wood)

Those really are my kind of shots. I just love to wander in the backstreet my camera to snap things like that. Textures are often spectacular. Very nice.

So, throw out clutter / debris, but be careful where you throw it? Clear the mind of excess baggage, the world may look better to you? At any rate, I would hate to be a neighbor of that first house! And litter like in the second one, only more of it, blows into our yards all the time out here in the country!
