I love the old boat. It does add a lot of character.

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” - Mark Twain Beautiful. This post instantly brought Twain to mind, and somehow I think you'll know exactly why. I would love to go for a walk there right now - so peaceful. I agree, the boat adds a great degree of character.

Graet shots: together they tell a nice story and you barely need words.

I like the treasures! And I like how you say "in the background" when the foreground is a rusty old can. Such a contrast. And there's probably a good story with the boat in 1.

I like the story. And the people 'hanging around' are just great.

I think if you look carefully at #3 you'll see the man bent over picking something up—
