Part II: The Language of Colour

2008.05.24
How strange that Nature does not knock, and yet does not intrude!

—Emily Dickinson

Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished.
— Lao Tzu

Learning to see what is within an arm length of where I live means paying attention to the contents of place.

“The whole object of travel is not to set foot on foreign land; it is at last to set foot on one's own country as a foreign land.”

—G. K. Chesterton

oldbabe Lovely leaves. I'm trying to figure out the plant. Hosta?
I agree with Chesterton. I love to go out and look to see how the garden changes from day to day. I feel like a kid in a candy shop!

focussed wonderful sentiments as per usual. We are so often temped the think we have to venture to far away and exotic places in order to see newer, more beautiful or more interesting. This is a reminder of what is right in front of us if we just take a moment to look a little closer.
