Did the neighbor do the carving from the tree where the heron stands? Pretty impressive and a nice place to sit, I agree. I like the glimpses I've seen of the neighbor's whimsy. Our shade these days is full of gnats so I can't sit or work outside for too long - only until the vanilla wears off. I also have to be careful where I sit because somehow I tend to always end up with poison ivy. I have several very itchy patches of it now!

Quite a big bird ! I closed my eyes and listen to your birds singing, I felt the sun go down and a chill forced me to wake up to the reality.
