After circling the pond I spotted one of my favorite trees.

Simply an amazing trunk—

Where is this limb going?

The pattern caught my fancy.

I didn't have a long lens with me so you can't see the loon, but its sound was so engaging.

Imagine two loons communicating—
|
This gull landed on our car hood and didn't want to leave. It was a stand off for five minutes.

This white horse reminded me of a unicorn—minus the horn.

A great set especially those showing how trees tend to insinuate themselves around rocks and objects - #1 is a very nice b&w image, and #6 is a lovely composition. But what is a "loon"?
