Late afternoon—early evening

I took a walk and spotted these polypores—the penultimate hangers on, an appendage, a delight.

relee Really cool shots, sometimes we don't see something until we see it through someone elses eyes, :))

oldbabe Oh, the old, not new? Must be...seems too cold for new.
It's almost mushroom hunting season here (according to my dau. and sil - the hunters).

photopoet Pretty soon I'll be out finding mushrooms to pose for photos. (I love mushrooms, but not enough to assure myself of the safe ones to eat). Last year an author went out foraging for mushrooms, many exotic, a mile away from a bookstore where he was going to give a reading. He cooked up the mushrooms and offered them to the audience—only a few souls accepted the invitation to dine and listen.

They were delectable— cooked in butter with a hint of seasoning.
