Where we stayed. It was very, very beautiful. I've never been to this part of Spain before but the mountains were a great backdrop and although you can't see them in this picture, there were miles and miles of olive trees stretching to the horizon in the other direction. The people were also lovely, and very friendly despite my poor Spanish!

This is the whole of my group in the main square in Cazorla. I'm wearing pink and blue and am third from left in the front row of people standing. Not that you can really see me anyway.

No camp would be complete without a bit of cross dressing! We did a very camp routine to Hit me baby one more time by Britney Spears :) I would show you all a picture of me dressed as a man, but it's far too humiliating!

In a group one-to-one (that's rather an oxymoron I suppose...) where we played cards at the end of each day and generally had small group fun... I'm standing on the left...

Well, here are a few of my photos of Pueblo Inglés. They're not anything like my other sets - which aren't really of people, but of things and places. I don't like posting photos of myself or my friends but I figured it wouldn't harm just this once.
Pueblo Ingles is a truly unique experience. The simple idea is that you have a group of Spanish speakers and an equal number of English speakers from all over the world who come together to help the Spaniards learn English by immersion and other various activities. However it was much more than just a language program. I met such a diverse group of people from so many different countries and took part in all sorts of crazy activities - from team olympics, waterfights, bow and arrow making contests and hosting a circus to simply spending time playing sport and making music. As some of you know I spend a lot of time playing instruments and singing (hence the amalgamation of the name of my two main instruments for my screen name...) and I really enjoyed playing and singing in mixed Anglo/Spaniard groups and then performing our work later in the evening.
Main camp rule: no Spanish. A lot of the Pueblo Inglés program consists of One-to-Ones (as our group leader liked to say, '1-2-1's, not one-ON-ones...it mustn't be forgotten that we were indeed a large group of teenagers who were and would...well, you know...) which are basically just conversations with another Spaniard. I learnt so much about Spanish culture. I even learnt English words I didn't know (well, American words...). The week was spent in sunny Cazorla in Andalucía where it was more than 40Ëš each day. The setting was beautiful - Cazorla is a town of 8500 people and is the entrance to the neighbouring National Park which is the second largest in Europe.
Anyway, I hope to have formed some lifelong friendships and miss everybody so much already...
But I don't want to bore you, if anyone has any questions feel free to ask!
www.morethanenglish.com is the Pueblo Inglés website.
Best wishes,
Pianoboe

Great view in shot one for sure. It does sound like the time was well spent.
What a nice story. Im glad you had such a good time. I take the US English expressions you learnt were "Hasta la Vista, Baby" and most of the dialogue from Scarface?
