Camp 4, Before the Storm....

May 25th Iowa was hit with a round or severe storms. With over 200 people at our church camp, and no basement shelter the tornado sirens in nearby Eldora, IA sounded off. The skies were still beautiful and the huge wall clouds started moving in. these clouds are usually a prequel to tornados, they are big and beautiful though. What you see is just what I could get above the tops of the trees that surround camp, these clouds actually went all the way to the lake on the other side of the trees. You also can see how the clouds were moving in different directions. We were blessed that the storm moved right around us - all we received was a pounding of rain. Unfortunately nearby Parkersburg was hit by an F5 tornado that decimated the town.
