Durban, South Africa

North Beach and the Golden Mile

Durban City Hall. Tours of the building, which houses a library as well as the Natural History Museum and Art Gallery, are available and offer visitors the chance to enjoy its 1910 architecture.

A view from The Palace showing the large public pool adjacent to North Beach.

Local kids build and maintain some rather interesting sand sculptures, charging tourists who wish to photograph it ;-)

Amusement Park along the Golden Mile.

Durban, also known as eThekwini in Zulu, is the gateway to the Drakensberg and Zululand and one of the most dynamic South African cities. Due to its great climate, vibrant community, golden beaches and proximity to a number of marine resorts and game reserves, Durban remains a top destination for both tourists and South Africans from inland.

fritzthecat So how much did they charge you to make the photos ? Probably just enough for a ride in the amusement park ... :-)
