Day 2 - 19 May 2013
After exploring the nearby islands and the beaches, on 2nd day we're heading to mountainous area of Malino, around 80km from Makassar, but actually our main destination is located in a forest off-beaten track of Parangloe village, on km45 to meet with forest ranger who will be our guide to go to a waterfall that we've heard but only few written about it. Waterfall named after the village, Parangloe waterfall. After 1 hour hikes, we reached a beautiful waterfall that erased our cramps and tiredness of walking.
It's actually a 3-tier waterfall, but I couldn't climbed up the waterfall to see the other one.
We managed to see another waterfall further to Malino, around another 40km from Parangloe, called Takapala waterfall, unfortunately after only one shot it started to rain and we decided to go back to Makassar and spending some time in traditional harbor, Paotere harbor and enjoying sunset, although we couldn't see the sun
