Congratulations Pix! These are awesome ... especially the autumn gold! But, all of these show outstanding focus and detail. I wish I had a DSLR when I was still in school! =)

Hooray, and happy birthday dude! DSLRs rock, and you'll have fun working out how to do it. Much easier to control the settings, but more demanding at the same time. Suggest you do heaps of fiddling in Aperture mode, if you aren't already. I can see the improved quality, esp in 3&4.
