Reply ⇔ Wildflowers or Weeds?
I wouldn't say they were weeds, they're just common and called that. Judging by these pictures, I'd say they were flowers! Vibrant, rich hues. Nice lens, if I might add.
Just fyi ... the lens is a Nikkor 60mm Micro. Very sharp lens ... and tons of fun! Again, that thistle head was only 3/8" in diameter and it nearly fills the screen.

Reply ⇔ The innocence of youth
True, too true, I'm loving my childhood while I can... that's a lifelong lesson. #1 is spectacular, #2 is sensitive and playful. I like your graphics, what program do you use?
Thanks for the comments ... oh to still be a kid without a care in the world!I currently do everything in Nikon Capture NX. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of say Photoshop (i.e. no adding text, no clone tools, etc) but its a FANTASTIC RAW conversion utility and it creates outstanding jpgs. I find it very intuitive, but from what I've read out on other sites, its either a love it or hate it kind of app! It does support NEF, jpg, tiff, etc so it can be used beyond just being a raw conversion utility. Mat |

Second one is fantastic, it's astounding how you could get such clarity!.
In the original photo there isn't such a great clarity, but by using Lightroom (Adobe's software for editing photgraphs) and giving the photo a strong contrast, the raindrops become more visible. Giving some more 'blacks' gives the result which you can see on the photo. Thanks for your comment btw!

#1 is phenomenal! I like #3, looks like a cross between a Goldfinch and a Chickadee!
thanks. The species of #3 is the Great Tit.
