As a teenager I worked on a rose nursery - came to see roses as real hard work! However, since that was back in the dim mists of time the memory of weeding, hoeing, budding and such like has faded a lot and I can (almost) appreciate their beauty - but I really prefer the old fashioned ones that smell great.. not that I can smell anything at the moment - still feeling very sorry for myself, sniffle, sniffle.

Polly, these are such pretty shots - I really like the multi-colors in #5 & 7, but my favorite is the last one of the white roses. I wish I knew more about them, but it sounds as if you do!

So wonderful to see such lovely sights while sitting in my house among piles of snow! Haha...that didn't sound right...the snow IS outside, thank goodness! ;)) I've noticed several flowery, springy posts today on PB that came from archives....I think we're all getting done with wintertime!
