There are many ways to learn about history. In my mind, the grandest goal is to teach historical empathy and have students able to imagine what it would be like to be alive in another era. Today surely gave a unique lens into the Revolutionary Period we are currently studying.

A big thank you is due to Mr. John Badini. He is a fourth grade teacher who has dedicated much of his own time to the Living History Workshops that are available to teachers in New York State. He has acquired the equipment we use, and spent hours organizing this amazing event.
