This lagoon is at 3.418 meters above sea level between the districts of Paca , Chun and Pance to 2.5 km north of the town of Jauja-Perú. His stretch of water is 21.40 km2 and has a capacity of 85.50 thousand m3, the cattails in the lagoon of habitat for many wild birds.
