My collection begin a gift from my mom. Every birthday, Mother's Day and just because I was receiving a figurine. Okay so after awhile I had to nicely tell everyone I have all the figurines I needed. I also have a collections of Black Santa Clauses that started when my neighbors were in a very small town in MO. They made it their job to bring me back a Black Santa Claus souvenir from their summer vacations.. Yes at Christmas every room is filled. I'm slowly handing them down to Bamommy.

TheCrazyCroat Bless your Mom. What an amazing thing to start for you. Now you are handing it down to your daughter and I'm sure she'll do the same. I loooooove family heirlooms like this. The figurines are too precious for words and I love the pic showing them all. Thanks for sharing the story behind them. :-)

DancingDolphin (I have a few 'visiting' minutes tonight... thanks so much for stopping in during my vacation!) This post cracked me up... collections are a dangerous monster all their own... I think every friend I know has one that got out of control! They're adorable!

lexlevans oh these are cute! but your comments about having to tell people that you have all you need reminds me of my mom - she was always cautious about letting people see things you liked because they might end up always being that for you! like dolphins in her case - haha.
