Antique dinnerware
(enlarge to enjoy the detail of the flatware)

“I had rather be shut up in a very modest cottage with my books, my family and a few old friends, dining on simple bacon, and letting the world roll on as it liked, than to occupy the most splendid post, which any human power can give.”

Thomas Jefferson

mowestlan Great pics--did you go to Monticello? What's for dinner??
mowestlan · 2008-09-10: 17:24
oldbabe I'm glad you showed them to me in person. They are so beautiful. You did a good job displaying them. I can't decide which I like best - maybe the sepia.

Now as for that simple bacon...I'm down with it as long as it's well done. Then I will use my fingers.
