I just got back from a road trip to N central Pennsylvania. I had the opportunity to visit Kinzua Bridge State Park.

At the time it was constructed in 1882, the Kinzua Viaduct was the tallest railroad bridge in the world. The bridge remained in service until 2002. In July 2003, the bridge was hit by a tornado and the middle section was knocked over. The twisted wreckage is what you see today.

busybee36 That must have been a very strong tornado to do that to metal - its made some interesting shapes.
