As the title suggests this is Govenor Sprague's Mansion. It is purported to be one of the most haunted places in all of Rhode Island....due to a murder that took place on the grounds!
History lesson: Amasa Sprague (brother of Govenor William Sprague) was murdered on the grounds. Evidence in the trial was circumstantial at best however, John Gordon was found guilty and sentenced to hang. People now question whether or not he was the guilty person or not, and that is why there is no longer a death penalty in Rhode Island. In case anybody was ever wondering.
