Local lore says that the creators of Super Man modeled the Daily Planet (the newspaper that his alter ego Clark Kent worked at) building after this building in Providence. I have no idea if that is true or not, people will argue about this to the death I suppose. But I do know that initially the tops of this building were built to dock blimps. People seriously over estimated the future usage of blimps.

I totally agree! I tried parking my blimp there once and after I parked it....there was a huge no parking sign!!! So I had to find another spot. Parking downtown sucks and expensive. Do you know how much it costs to park a blimp for only two hours!? Courtney72187 · 2012-07-30: 06:38
