So, it was another cold day...frustrating at times, but just another day closer to the holidays...seeing the lights used to be one of my favorite things in the world. When I heard a Christmas song, that was all I needed to smile and know that everything was going to be alright. These days, not so much. I'm very much reminded of the song "We Need a Little Christmas" and the lines:

For I've grown a little leaner,
Grown a little colder,
Grown a little sadder,
Grown a little older,
And I need a little angel
Sitting on my shoulder,
Need a little Christmas now

So, until then, I'll just have to keep waiting for my happily ever after...
