The new 'sky scraper' in the city... ;) !
36 days of garbage collectors strike in a large city. You can not even imagine, and I don't have pictures to document it. Too bad I live too far from the 25 garbage dump sites to take pictures of the huge deposited mountains of garbage bags in parks, but at least I don't feel the stench. People walk around wearing masks.The walks in some parks are not possible anymore.
Lots of services closed for the time, the ferryboat to the Toronto Island, daycares, summer camps, swimming pools...and the health issue is a big concern.
And unfortunately, on top of that, Toronto garbage strike tops list of travel warnings
Last good news: the strike ended, but the garbage dump sites will still stay for a while...Maybe I'll gather the courage to go snap a few shots in the weekend.

I know this is something rather made you cry, but I just had to laugh out loud when saw your remark after title :-)) and adore you for seeing the comic side of the tragedy :-) how the strike ended? did the collectors atchieved something? (actually, I doubt so:-(
