Trostle Barn

2008.05.15

This is the Trostle barn, one of many building on the battlefield, It was there during the battle. Just above and between the two diamond cuts is a hole made by a cannon ball, for whatever reason it was never repaired. The tree on the left is a witness tree, which means it saw the fighting in that area of the field. This is also the place where General Daniel Sickles was taken when his leg was shattered. His leg was amputated and is still to this day in a medical museum in Washington, DC

majikmonkee Great shot. A shattered leg in a medical museum? I guess I haven't visited a lot of those before, I had no idea what I was "missing".
