Anyone who can span the colour divide - literally - deserves a tribute, even if the music was only, well, acceptable.

Post scriptum after the first six comments:

I never liked Jackson's work; it's Friday and I'm being tongue-in-cheek (as usual, but perhaps inappropriately considering that one shouldn't speak ill of the dead) and what I found much more interesting than his demise was the fact that grafitti appeared in a rough part of Athens hours after said person had died in Los Angeles. It's the sort of thing only the Masked Quiche in Cheddar Gorge would stoop to.

BTW, what's happened to Cheddar Gorge. No one interested any more?

Was never a big fan of Michael, but have to give him credit. His talent took him to the top of the music world "acceptable" though it was ;) Guy was strange and a bit sad, yes, but millions have enjoyed his efforts. lookagain · 2009-06-26: 15:20

I guess it says something about where you are that people would write graffiti about it. Nothing like that here. In the UK (as I expect you know) a famous death is an excuse for morbid jokes to start doing the rounds. With someone as notorious as MJ my mobile hasn't stopped buzzing all day. i never really liked the bugger aether (and won't say what i really think of him, as he will have quite some fans here on pb ). But i guess someone had to be pop king.
