I was rather annoyed with the model for wearing that clashing top - quite ruined the aesthetics, I thought, but it actually worked out rather well.

There is something physical in women that never fails to fascinate, excite and enthrall me: their skin. Never mind eagles, penguins or the human eye, use a woman's complexion to advance the fallacy of "intelligent design" and even I might believe it.

I love the way light bends around a woman's body; how it complements it, contrasts it, offers the simplest possible frame for the masterpiece that is the human form. The lighting in my nudes is usually kept to a bare (sorry for the pun) minimum: I don't want to detract from the focus of my attention.

Of course, desire forms part of my interest. There are many forms of desire, as we all know, but there is more to exciting it than focusing on the bits that PB definitely won't allow me to post. I have desired an upper arm, the bend of a knee, the curvature of a neck, the cinnamon-and-milk texture of a redhead after a day in the sun.

I wish I could develop this theme in greater detail here, but along with skin, my models display other human attributes which PB and many people here (including some I respect) find offensive. I don't mind provoking, but I have no desire to offend. Again, desire takes many forms...

A friend here has just started to pursue this theme. I wish her luck and I look forward to seeing her results.

revenant I wanted to explain here the difference between desire and eroticism. Eroticism is someone else's attempt at instilling in the viewer/reader/etc., the internal emotion of desire. But I can't be bothered to rewrite the post.

revenant And then I wanted to explain my take on eroticism and pornography. Eroticism is conceited; pornography utterly cynical and artificial. But that really would mean a different post altogether.

enigmatium great work.

caroleagle the shine is perfect on 2... I love that about skin too but haven't captured it yet. Hope you do a post re: eroticism/pornography. I'm discovering huge holes in my awareness/belief system etc. Pardon bad pun....

smbunation Yeah, I'm gonna pretty much have to agree with 99% of what you said there. Great shots still; the b/w's are really great.

yellodog Yes, I believe the human body is the measuring stick of everything we find visually beautiful.

eternity65 great shots, and yes, even the second one is superb!!

thebronzebow The curves and hollows of the human body are a wonderful thing. About the only thing that stands in the way of my exploration is the lack of a willing model. Very nice shots.

????? Beautiful photos for different emotions... Well, women also are very sensitive to derma and soma shapes...
