The "Christmas" lights were switched on in Oxford Street and Regent Street this week... it's the first week in November if people hadn't noticed. When are we going to change the name to Autumn lights? Or "It's still summer and nowhere near f*cking Christmas" lights?

Here's my answer to David's question: when they shift Easter to a more economically and fiscally advantageous period for merchants...

And the answer to Soubhagya's question is: "Sex with Rudolph".

The Christmas things are going up here too, at least in the stores. I'm still trying to get into the mood for Thanksgiving.

It so nice to find another kindred soul who dislikes christmas (and especially the commercialism it now stands for) as much as I! The thing that really gets me is those houses that are absolutely covered in lights and decorations - do the owners have nothing better to do with their time?

Well i can't agree more with you and busybee!! It all starts far to early in the year and has become way to commercialised, just like Easter, Halloween and yes, especially valentine. Everybody is spending so much money on those damned decorations and lights instead of buying their kids and wife what they really wanted ;-)) Result, everybody unhappy in the end ....... Isn't that great :-))))
