The source of the Sorgue river is the biggest in mainland France. The little village near the source is a popular tourist attraction. Petrarch used to hang around here musing on his Laura.

I've included three images showing how much the spring is depleted over a summer.

SADHYA Is this limestone? It's a fabulous place and your pictures almost give a sense of the scale.I'm guessing the reality is close to overwhelming.
