Day 24

After coffee with my mom early this afternoon, I decided to drive by the beach. The water was an incredible shade today, so I had to get a few shots of it!

They almost tore down the catwalk on the pier about ten years ago. It's more asthetic than functional, and the city didn't want to keep up with the constant cost of manitainence. The community rallied together and raised the funds to save the catwalk. I'm very glad that they did -- though there are a great many lighthouses on the Great Lakes, very, very few of them still have a catwalk!
