143 -- A Tour of My Entrance Hallway

2007.12.01
Take a sit-down and take off your shoes... I redid this bench from a horrid pastel floral that didn't match anything I own!

Some neighbors sold their house years ago and gave my family boxes and boxes of antiques. My mom went through them and got rid of a good portion at yard sales. When this failed to sell, she was going to THROW IT AWAY! I rescued it from its untimely demise and have had it hanging somewhere ever since I was about twelve.

I really need to get a frame for this poster. Believe it or not, I got this after I had already picked my paint colors! It's from a Camel cigarette mailing.

The walls are Sour Apple... The ceiling is Sundrop! The whole hallway glows when it's sunny out!

I absolutely HAD to have this light fixture!!! I actually have a sconce that matches it, for a project in the pantry, which is located at the end of the hall.

It was so bitter cold outside that I decided to go exploring in my house for anything photo-worthy. I decided that the world needs to see my Sour Apple and Sundrop hallway!

dweiskir Those are definitely bold choices. I grew up military, so my walls have always been your basic off white. Once I felt really bold and painted a room gray, but that's about as wild as I've been.
