I'm a sucker for tree root pictures, especially when they come out looking like this. If you crop the top, it looks like something crawling, or any number of other things trying to take over the imagination. Did you remember to take the feather home that is lying on the lower right? I'm new at this: what does it mean when one becomes friends on this site?

Thanks for all your comments. Fausten, I didn't actually see the feather till I viewed full size in photoshop. Lol, like the idea of cropping the top off so uploaded that version as well, has a more sinister feel to it.

This is amazing, my mind can't really see the roots, all it can comprehend is a swarm of fingers trying to burrow into the leaves!

I absolutely love this one. The colors on the leaves are so warm but the tree gives it a slightly cool sinister feel.
