I'm a big fan of tripods now, I hated it to start with. I used to find using one restrictive and awkward. But once you get used to it, it's quite liberating and allows you to concentrate more on actually getting the shot you want.

I can see that is a Velbon head 157Q. Which tripod did you buy?
I very seldom use one, but would like something nice.
