Works, in a way, it's a bright light and you can move it.

Definitely bright, normally in my kitchen I set to about iso640-800, f2.8 and about 30-40/1 sec.

Now I can shoot at iso100, f5-8, 80-125/1 sec.

Just need to find away to diffuse/bounce the light to soften it and sort out the white balance.

jpfromoz Excellent result. The portrait is outstanding. What about spraypainting an old umbrella silver or white on the inside and attaching it (somehow) to the light and bouncing it off that...? Just an idea.

LondonShutter Works great! I don't find #2 overexposed but to each their own.

For a diffuser on the really cheap, how about finding a way to safely get some waxpaper or tissue paper in front of it somehow? Safely as in prevent it from catching fire! Or maybe some smoked plexi glass? Hey, spraypaint plexi glass - diffuser and coloured filter all in one. Or how about some of that texture plastic tape crap you put on a window for privacy - that's gotta be cheap at the home depot.

Yanko I would love to have a toy like that! So, what is it? Is it expensive?
