Haven't posted for a while as my computer was playing up.
Soo, I've built a new one - specifically to run photoshop properly.
The geeky bit -
Intel E8400 - O/C to 3.7Ghz
8Gb OCZ DDR2 6400 - O/C to 1000Mhz
Abit IP35 Pro XE motherboard,
2 x 250Gb (16Mb) Western Digital HDDs in RAID0,
1 x Western Digital 74Gb Raptor - (just for Photoshop to use as a scratch disk)
Wacom Graphire graphics tablet, 2 x 19" screens, 600W Zalman PSU, XFX 8400 graphics card, - old case and DVD drive I had lying around).
Works a treat, I can finaly procces RAW files without having to wait every time I moved a slider.
I DL'ed the photoshop speed test from
here and new computer completed it in 25 seconds. Comparing this to other computers on the
results page thats pretty good.
