I used the money I made off my newspaper route to buy my first pair in 1968 and the store I bought them from sold reject converse , if something was wrong with the shoe they would tear the star off and sell them for$5.00,..$8.00 with the star. Good memories : )
It's good to know that you still have those memories. Well, the stuff that we bought when we first had our compensations from work really mean a lot to us. Thanks for sharing!
