THE DAY AFTER...

2008.04.15
Life is back to the beach...

...even if tan is still on the way

some is training...

...some is already in good shape

could she ever forget about cell phone?

The day after the Italian election day we got the results and they are the worst.
The "tv-mogul gang" won and fascists, racists and some "mafiosi" are going to govern Italy: would you believe that a a former fascist leader will be the President of the Parliament ????
Don't want bother anyone but let me just add few more thoughts.
This beautiful Country has been corrupted by consumistic stereotypes and commercial networks; I will not fly to another place, I will continue to fight for the future of my daughter in the Country of Michelangelo, Raffaello, Leonardo Da Vinci, Dante Alighieri, Vivaldi, Rossini, Puccini... the same Country of thousands of honest people who hardly work every day against all odds.

chrisfly Very nice photoset, wish I was there on that beach, it is still quite cold up here:-( To bad to hear about the election in your country, and I really hope and think that your fight will bring you fruits in the end...

TIM927 going to the beach is the best after your elections results,,, i cant understand how people forget so easily where some politicians come from,,it happens the same with religion,,money rules u know..
TIM927 · 2008-04-15: 08:22
leocheung It's good that you still maintain a sense of humour.
You should be glad that you're living in a democratic country even the worst politician dare not ignore the people's power.
leocheung · 2008-04-15: 08:28

mariazinha32 APPLAUSEEE !!!!!!.........
Politics sucks ... they show so much about ilegal votes.. but yet when it comes to E.U countries they have the ability to hide the dirt very well...Corruption rules ... So why so many rules for new countries to enter the E. U , when most of the E.U countries are full of white collar crimes ?!?!?!...
don´t let them shut you up!!!! People need wake up to reality !!!!
mariazinha32 · 2008-04-15: 13:05
coyoteself Ahhhhthe beach and good for you, and good luck. Politicians all have the same goal, to better their own standard of living at everyone else expence and yet convince the masses, that it is the other way around.
coyoteself · 2008-04-15: 13:11

BlueLady Beautiful, colourful beach scenes!
As for the election results... There is always disappointment on politics. Sooner (after the elections) or later (some time after)!
No matter how bad a politic is, there is always a worst one... governing!
BlueLady · 2008-04-16: 16:06
icewomanfirst Mi piacciono molto la prima e la seconda, ma il set completo racconta bene :)

Un sorriso ..

jenjung wonderful set - i find the election results somewhat disturbing - will be interesting to see if there will be any articles about it here
jenjung · 2008-04-16: 18:13
LotoFoto What a fascinating piece of writing. I had no idea.
The feeling of helplessness & frustration, when it comes to elections & politics can be so overwhelming at times.
I hope good change is in the future for you.
I always would tease that I'd love to just throw my children on a plane with a few suitcases and go live in the quiet countryside of Europe and forget about the ridiculous politics of the U.S.
Time for me to openly admit what we all already know...there is no utopia.
LotoFoto · 2008-04-16: 21:41
samuelsonthhc great post.....dont worry, your country is not the onlyone with the bad people in the lead, in our goverment there are bolsheviks :)
samuelsonthhc · 2008-04-17: 06:49
davidcardona Excellent work! So deep thinkings. Thanks for sharing!
davidcardona · 2008-04-17: 09:37
BreezyOnTheEyes reading your words just now actually gave me chills. the notion of dangerous or ill intention people running someone's country is hard to come to terms with. especailly a country such as yours or mine. i am not a political person, but i can sympathize with your concern and vigor to fight for what you believe in.

interesting photos to go along with this tale. it's very much the portrait of southern california life and apathy as well.

thanks for sharing, as always. ^_^
