ON APRIL 25...

2008.04.25
My mother and my gradfather with three Allied Forces soldiers in 1943

My parents and the Peace flag behind them...

One of the oldest Partisan still active in Rome (shot today morning)

Another old Partisan with all the gold medals for gallantry got by Romans (shot today morning)

The thing is that the bus is going to Partisans Square...(shot today morning)

1945 - The U.S. Army blows the swastika from the top of the Zeppelintribüne.

1945 - Nazi occupation army leaves Northern Italy after a general partisan insurrection by the Italian resistance movement. This day is taken as symbol of Liberation of Italy.

2008 - Italy honours the heroes who conquered freedom and democracy.

As I already wrote in a 2007 post, my family was part of Italian Resistance Movement and I'm very proud to continue the fight for freedom and a real democracy
