BASTARDS !!!

I was going to have a break at the pinewood coffeeshop as I usual do around noon as I saw the firefighter truck running right to "my" place.
I ran there and... some racist bastards did set fire to a sort of small "favela" where workers from Romania, Poland and other Eastern Countries live their very difficult and almost desperate lives.
Firefighters did a good job but the damage was big; they found lots of camps and, worst, there was the serious risk of explosions due to the gas cylinders those people use to cook...
This was not the first episode of racism in Ostia and, unfortunately, I think it will be not the last one; Italians are not racists but, thanks to few bastard fascists, the image of my beautiful friendly Country is brutally falling down.
Needles to say that, later on, my coffee has been very bitter and sad.

why people don't think that whe we go on vacations to any other country the can also can be racist against us?

here we are having a very bad time too with ETA and racism in the streets, Spain have been a beautiful place to live, now it is finish

I find this episode well cruel. Racism is something that should not exist, why so much hatred, it hurts to see such acts. people do as they can to survive, and destroy what little they have so I think it's cruel.

Excellent reporting. I found them very disturbing photos. What occurs to me is what cowards people who would do this are. They sneak in and attempt to destroy someone else's lives then sneak away. Their ignorance about people different from themselves must be very deeply rooted. So I guess I'd add "Ignorant Cowards" to "bastards".

I can't generalise all italian as racist. But unfortunately, I myself had a racist encounter in Italy during a holiday at Rome. Me and my girlfriend (Chinese) were being threw at a paper ball by a group of youngster who passed by us. They shouted something to us. We didn't understand but it didn't sound as something nice. It is a pitty and certainly reflected badly to the people of this country.
