NEVER AGAIN !!!

2008.07.22
from Le Monde

Radovan Karadzic, one of the world’s most wanted war criminals for his part in the massacre of nearly 8,000 Muslim men and boys in Srebrenica in 1995, was arrested Monday in a raid in Serbia that ended a 13-year hunt.
Serge Brammertz, the prosecutor of the United Nations war crimes tribunal in The Hague, hailed the arrest as an important step in bringing to justice one of the architects of Europe’s worst massacre since World War II.

Let's wish he will get what he deserves...

anamaria21 Fantastic, powerful pic ! As for info I would refrain since I am coming from that country and have my own thoughts and opinion of all those war criminals who are still on freedom and even heros among their people.

busybee36 A thought provoking picture. Even if justice is done it will not bring back the loved ones of these families.

NatinKool Powerful shot. Unfortunately although we keep saying 'never again', the 'never' seems to happen on a fairly regular basis.

byron1 Great reportage and a powrful shot!
Sad thing is, that even if he gets what he deserves, it will not bring anyone of these people lying in their coffins back...
byron1 · 2008-07-23: 02:56
tomie this is a good thing that criminals pay for their crimes ... there are still others that are free, as ratko mladic. that Belgrade contributes to the arrest of war criminals, was a condition for the start of serbia in the European Union ... it is sad to be obliged a country to arrest his criminals...
tomie · 2008-07-23: 03:07
Cloudee yes I've been listening about it on the news. He has been living a pretty public life as of late, working in alternative medicine. I do hope he gets what he deserves, it is sad and disheartening that people like that respond to what they did (to even do such a thing) as if it was in their rights and with nor conscience or sense of remorse. I enjoy the smileys after "great reportage" by the way, they are like how many stars I deserve for each set :)
Cloudee · 2008-07-23: 09:33
