Lights, Camera, Action

My new backdrop stand *finally* arrived today. This is the first picture I've been able to take with my lights (actually, only one of the three) and my backdrop stand. Forgive me for not getting out my seamless paper and instead grabbing a stash of unironed fabric. I was a wee bit excited. Also, please forgive that it's not a person. All my children are away on spring break so I had to grab the dog. Isn't she cute though?!

Pig Bath

Hubby and I decided that the week the children are away would be a good time to give the guinea pigs a bath. The last thing we need is for our children to think they can give the guinea pigs baths when an adult isn't around - and believe me, my kids would try it. All in all, the guinea pigs didn't do too bad. I don't think they were thrilled with it, but I think they'll get used to it eventually. Don't they look so pitiful?!

Poker Night

Had a good time playing poker tonight with a few of my girlfriends. One of us just got a new tatoo and went around the corner to show another friend. (The hostesses' husband was playing our dealer for the evening.) Very entertaining evening with the girls! Both are SOOC.

I had a girlfriend take me to a local manor house that she'd visited before with another photographer. Her daughter just turned 5 so it was a great reason to take more pictures! I love these people. She is very dear to me and her daughter is so stinkin' cute I can hardly stand it!

Bridal Shower

My niece is getting married in June. Today was her bridal shower. The sun was shining and the weather was beautiful for one of the first days of spring. As I was driving along, I couldn't help but think about how lucky I am to live in this area. All this open space with the beautiful barns, animals, houses, etc. - it soothes my soul.

I recently purchased a new lens that everyone seemed to be raving about. Well, I was less than impressed so here it is going back to wence it came! Did I mention I got my camera back?! It came back Tuesday good as new. Not bad! I expected it to be gone for 2-3 weeks. It left my hands on Thursday and was home on Tuesday. I'm a happy camper!

Well, you are looking at all that I consumed today. Last night, I got the bug my kids have had over this past week. YUCK! On Saturday when my husband brought home ginger ale I secretly thought to myself, "ugh. I won't be drinking any of THAT!" Well, clearly I was wrong. Today I decided that man is a genius!

Got a new haircut today. Why the picture? It never looks the same after I wash it and try to do it myself. LOL. Plus, this way I can take a pic back to remind her how it was cut last time. Tee, hee, hee. Time to update my facebook profile pic....
