Doing better today. Up & around, went to the shops with the boys....although yes yes I took it slower ;-)

In the afternoon we played with Ryder's bubbles in the backyard, and once again I tried to capture them.
I'm loooooonging for a decent macro lens & saving super-hard for it!

Something minor in my pregnancy called for me to call my midwife & she promptly put me on bedrest for the remainder of the day (it was only 10am).

At first I thought it would be ok, I had the laptop, peace & quiet....... but after a few hours I began to get really restless & the day was beautiful outside. Photo opportunities begged for me to come play...but I couldn't.

Not to worry, I'm ok, baby's ok, I just have been ordered to take things a little slower and easier....not so easy when you have a household & family to organise, but my little bub has some cooking to do yet!

Thankfully I'm off bedrest after today for now....fingers crossed it stays that way because bedrest sure bites the big one!

Powered by Photoblog.com

I love Kahlil Gilbran's works...his words are simply beautiful. I was introduced to his works by a friend and was hooked from the first pages. Read his book sometime The Prophet.

So after grocery shopping, I quickly asked Cody & Nath to find me the prettiest Gardenia they could in the parking lot, LMAO.
As soon as we got home, I left the unpacking to the boys & scampered (ha yeah because at 28wks PG, I scamper) into the courtyard to take these shots.

I love the scent of Gardenia's, they're so completely intoxicating. The only problem is a few years ago, a toilet paper company decided they liked it enough to scent their product with.....which was all good & well to begin with....except now when I close my eyes & smell a Gardenia....yep you got it, all I can picture is their damn TP

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This wasn't at all what I had in mind for today, yet this ended up being what worked out best. This has happened quite a bit in my 365.

I have to admit, I'll feel relieved when the 365 is completed, but at the same time, I'll feel a sense of accomplishment as well. I'm amazed I've stuck with it for as long as I have. Posting on here has helped ALOT...knowing I'm accountable for an image everyday & knowing that friends & family are checking up on me, lol....*kisses* love you all .... and I really honestly have learnt so much more then I ever expected I would. When I look back at January's pictures, there are still some I count as my personal favs, but these days I'm way more proud of what I'm churning out. I'm not big-noting myself, *pffft!* far from it...lol...just saying I'm happier with my photography these days & doing the 365 has pushed me to challenge myself in all aspects.

Although I have to say, don't expect another project from me for a while after this, LOL!

Powered by Photoblog.com

LOL
I get so inspired when I see the foods other people cook, but then when I'm standing in my kitchen, a lazy metamorphsis takes place...I guess it's just safe to say, I prefer the dining & enjoy of the taste of creations rather then being apart of creating it. LOL!!

(the one exception to this is Christmas food, that's the only time you'll find me whiping up a feast, I love Christmas cooking! lol)

So it was a feat for me today, that I got the desire to make some Lemonade. This didn't come from a craving to drink it, but honestly to make it!
I even went to the shops & bought 10 lemons to juice!

I was so proud of myself, and I'm not the slightest bit modest enough to say it tasted damn good, even if I do say so myself :))

Will I make it again though???
Yeah, probably.......maybe.....

So we packed the picnic basket & had a good simple family day out, stopping at all the playgrounds we passed by.
Wynnum is quite pretty...although the kids would've loved to have seen it at high tide instead of the lowest low tide we've ever seen, lol....but still, we had good fun and a good day :)

Powered by Photoblog.com
